Just goofing around
I am trying to learn the new PSE 11 tricks. Just when I thought I'd mastered PSE 10, they went and changed it on me. I know the attached photo looks unnatural but I'm trying out the anti-aliasing and feather capabilities of the program. Anyone have any thoughts on a better way to do this?

Bud, I have no experience with PSE. I would suggest you can make this image look a bit more natural if you select a couple pixels along all the edges, on both sides (bird and white), and then blur the selection with a gaussian blur. It will soften the edges and look more like what you would see if the flamingo were against a whitish background.

But I LOVE the colors and definition of the bird itself. Very nice.

At the moment, it does look a little hard edged and unnatural. But I expect if you placed the bird over a nice sky background or some foliage, but not over sharp, it would blend together a lot better.
