    slowdown with delete.

Sometimes an image that you may delete in camera can have another use when viewed on a larger monitor,
this over water image works as a desktop wallpaper, and reminds me to lookout for similar combinations of color that may not be obvious and not to be too quick with the delete "yes"button.
    slowdown with delete.

I agree – but I’d take your advice further – NEVER even hover a finger over the ‘delete’ button

I have never deleted a file in the camera which has not been downloaded and saved.
I believe there is a necessity and also good reason for a procedure:
    Vision – Prepare – Shoot – Review – Select & Cull.

The DSLR screen as a Monitor and being in the Environment and Headspace of ‘Prepare and Shoot’ – are NOT conducive to high quality ‘Review - Select and Cull’.

I agree. If it can't be improved, I usually go the creative route with the photo.

I download everything onto the computer. I then have a quick look at them. Those I like I do something with, the others I keep to look at another day, perhaps weeks later. I very often see something in them that I didn't see the first time around.
