Violating ?

Goodday everybody,

BUT a bad day for me!
I try to upload an image for the first time here in CiC and when I upload, it turns out "This IP address has been banned for violating our Terms of Use"!
Why? I didn't do anything bad here.

If I have ever done something nasty here, then I deserve it. But I didn't!
I have already sent a PM to the administrator. Hopefully, they will sort it out for me.
Anyhow, it hurts.

Hi Albert,

Very rarely a member will suddenly find themselves unable to upload any pictures to TinyPic and will receive a message that their IP address was responsible for uploading unsuitable material. This can be quite worrying, but due to the way some ISP (Internet Service Providers) use dynamic IP addresses for their customers, it is usually only a temporary problem where the one you get (for a day or so) happens to = the one the real culprits used. TinyPic doesn't/can't differentiate, but they still 'ban' the address (I guess they have to do something). If this happens; usually switching your router/switch off for 5 minutes, and on again, cures it.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but these things occur outside of CiC, so there's nothing we can do.

Hopefully the explanation above will answer two things;

it isn't your fault either

I hope Dave explanation makes you feel a bit better.
Please, please don't stop trying (Don't give up), I'm sure as Dave as already said you will be back up and running posting pictures very soon.

You are lucky. I was banned access to this site and had no explanation at all - simply timed out every time I tried. Turned my ADSL modem off to force a new IP address and hey presto I was acceptable again.

I thought I was unreasonably punished by CiC for something I have not done. Now I am clear that it is only the system problem.
I feel good now and I will try again to upload some images for C&C.
