Re: Abstract, Palm Trunk
I like that each layer has a different color and texture. The two bottom layers balance the uppermost area very nicely. Well seen and executed!

Re: Abstract, Palm Trunk
Hey Karm,
Your shot reminds me of several paintings by Mark Roethko. I love the muted colors and varied textures. Well done!

Re: Abstract, Palm Trunk
Hi Karm,
I not normally one for Abstract pictures, but I like this and more importantly my wife just peeked over my shoulder and she said she loved it.
Well done.
I would be interested in how you processed it; if you have time to share.
Cheers
John

Re: Abstract, Palm Trunk
John, thank you for your comment. I shot the photo at 1/40, f/9, 55mm, and ISO 200. Most of what you see in the picture is present in the palm trunk. I processed the photo using Lightroom 4.?.

Contrasting tone and texture .. like it a lot .. would be easy to ' over do ' something like this ....

Re: Abstract, Palm Trunk
This is a beautiful image - your eye for detail, color and composition is shown off well in this shot.
