Hi Glenn,
I love these places
Never been to this one though.
Pretty darn good shots in challenging conditions.
My only suggestion would be to "burn" (tone down the brightness) the people on the platform a bit, especially that guy in the second shot.
Personally I'd also like to have seen them bigger too, but you'd have to change to using TinyPic instead of CiC albums to achieve that and you're obviously well used to that method (you have some nice pictures in there).
I like that the compositions are 'straight' too.
Are you blessed with trackside access (e.g. because you're a volunteer)?
Well done,
Hi Glenn,
thanks for sharing these pictures, hopefully I'm going to visit a steam train site this year, I'm looking forward to getting some shot; lots of ideas going around in my head. Lets hope I can 'pull something out of the bag' on the day and don't end up with a load of shots only fit for the delete bin.
I don't know if you want any C&C on these, but I'll take it you do .
The only thing I would suggest is cropping a bit tighter, something like this:
Overall I like them, well done.
John
I love steam engines. They bring back many memories especially the smell. Great photos.
There are one or two here but cannot be used because of fire risk.
Thanks for the comments much appreciated.
JPS where are you going for your trains the North Norfolk Railway is a good one to go with the sea in the background. Let me know where you go beforehand.
Dave no line side pass at the Mid-Suffolk Railway that is the beginning of the line as it is a short line only ˝ mile or so long with plenty of places to photograph the trains.
