Re: Hey Bobo......birds
The lightbox make a big difference, paul. Very nice set, and no critique needed. You had some beautiful light to work with, well done.

Re: Hey Bobo......birds
Thank you, Steve. Yes when and if the sun comes out in the winter here....it can be quite fantastic and it lasts pretty much all day.

Re: Hey Bobo......birds
Thank you, Mike. I do like that one. It is one of the same birds of image #1 while we do see them around they are normally in the center of the lake, I felt quite lucky today.

Re: Hey Bobo......birds
Now you are rubbing it in. ![Smile](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png)
Here it is either snow or rain and/or usually really dark skies. Has been like that since I returned late November. Snow/rain I can handle, blowing winds I cannot. But even then, the birds all disappear so there has been absolutely nothing to get me out. ![Frown](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/frown.png)
Lovely set of birds you have there. Great light, exposure, sharpness, everything. Lightbox view is the best.
Well one good thing though, seeing others get their animals and post their great shots does bring back the cheer.
Soon, soon....

Re: Hey Bobo......birds
Thank you, Jack.
Thanks, Bobo. We have been much the same way but evry once in a while we are smiled apon.
Are there no winter birds that stick around? I shot a Hummingbird today as well. We tend to not get so cold as you up North so many birds stop in, some winter here and some stay all year. Every season brings new types. Guess I am lucky that way.
You will be back at it soon. Until them...stormy weather can be fantastic for landscapes if you can brave the nasty stuff. Hide in the car between rains.

Re: Hey Bobo......birds
Oh there are plenty of birds. Just not visible. They hate bad weather, wet days just as much as we do. ![Smile](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png)
But on a positive note, days are getting longer and there have been glimmers of fantastic sunsets last 2 days but cloud cover was very heavy. Normally it is only December which is bad, Jan/Feb/March are pretty good so I am not all that worried. Quiet periods give me time to plan where to go and for what. Ontario is HUGER then HUGE. eg going down to Niagara for falcons is a 3+ hour round trip and that is short. hehe

I see! Well it has been a long time since I last visited your area, although I do seem to remember a lot of space. Good luck on the weather! I look forward to seeing you make use of that new toy!

I love the saturated colours of #2, followed by #1 for the tone of the water and its low depth of field. Lovely stuff.
