I have already posted a few pic's here and welcomed the response's that i have recieved from Members of Cambridge in Colour.
As all of you know it can become a little confusing at times for us Newbies but i have had some fantastic Guidance from you already.

Hi Matthew,
Welcome! You have made a good choice as its a friendly place to learn lots of techniques, without any pressure, and I am sure you will enjoy your photography even more.
The cat in the sink on your Flickr account is a classic grab shot. Love it.

Re: Hello from Cornwall UK
Thanks for the posts guys.
I guess i am pretty lucky living in th SW of England because i have miles and miles of stunning coastline to snap at lol.
Have added to Flickr some images of Lamorna Cove .. ( and my first taken with Manual settings and first attempt at PP ).
I hope that you will take some time to have a look and advise me of where i am going wrong.
Once again Thanks

Re: Hello from Cornwall UK
Hi again Matthew,
I like a lot of your compositions in the Lamorna Cove series.
If I have one bit of advice - it would be to take just a little more time to assess whether the camera is level before clicking - there are a few where the sea isn't level or the buildings lean more on one side of the shot than the other.
It can usually be straightened in PP, but better to get it right at capture - although I still get it wrong at capture far too often
I do think you have a natural talent for spotting a good picture.
Cheers,

Re: Hello from Cornwall UK
Thanks Dave
I will bear that in mind .... but although things might appear to be level in Berkshire .. In Cornwall everything is on the (piss) slant.
Joking aside a good bit of advice .. many thanks.

Re: Hello from Cornwall UK
Some interesting scenes there, Matthew.
I'm from a small S. Devon coastal town and photograph similar items. Retired from working as a fisherman for 40 years.
Getting horizons perfectly level can be difficult when shooting handheld; particularly when also concentrating on getting the composition just right.
But as Dave said, easy to correct with modern editing software. I usually allow myself a little bit of 'wriggle room' with my compositions to allow for this.
