Same but Different
I shot these trees in jan of 2011.........................

I was in the area shooting the other day, and had a pleasant surprise. Geese and deer all around the same trees, so i had to take a few new shots of it. Not the best angle for the tree (shape isn't as nice from this side), but had to compose what was there.

Hi Steve,
Love both shots . do you get to this location often ? it could be good to shhot the same location but at different times/season to see the difference it makes.

Re: Same but Different
I especially like #1, with its symmetry and the concave shape of the ground rising up on either side of the tree. Nice composition.

Re: Same but Different
Both are great, Steve. I also like the idea of visiting the scene often and making a series of images over a period of years. Some images involving posed people would also be worthwhile if that's your cup of tea.
