Certainly looks clean and well iced down. Prices seem reasonable if they are in dollars per lb.
And when it is winter, it will be too wet for outside photography!
Everything looking good in this photo.
You are right, the photo rate goes down dramatically in winter. I have to find myself projects to work on to keep busy.
This photo was taken at the end of an uninspired day. I carry my 1V1 around, but haven't shot much lately. Just not inspired.
I had eaten out with an old schoolmate from 40 years ago and almost walked past this spot. Had to force myself to retrace my steps and take this photo with the camera resting on the bridge railing.
That is how uninspired I was :-(. Macro is fine though, that is easy to like.
Beautiful night shot.. I hope we are treated to more of these.
Thanks Christina, I like them too. With this camera though I can't go beyond ISO800, so I have to find a spot to put the camera on for a longer shutter time. Quite fun to do.
Very nice pictures you take, Peter. Very nice indeed.
Yes so many potential conflicts in terms of exposure and focus depth requirements. So this has worked well.
I tend to do more and more with the Nikkor 18-35mm lens when on holiday or city breaks. The lens is so versatile and can do good flower shots at 35mm, while for spectacular views the 18mm is fabulous.
This is a shot from Beachy Head (East Sussex), where they have beautiful cliffs, which I am still working on. To be continued.
We keep coming back to Beachy Head because it is a great location with those cliffs falling away. They really do (erode) by the way and apparently this lighthouse (Belle Tout lighthouse) has already been moved once because of that.
And a view from a point just past the lighthouse
The road is a rather 'plain' scene but the road and fields curve nicely and the sky seems to continue on the same lines which holds everything together and makes a photo from what would otherwise be just a stretch of road.
I would have liked to see a little more of the white cliff face; maybe a couple of steps to the left!
The first one with the lighthouse and nice sky works best for me, although there is a lot of 'depth' in the second image.
Those roads should get more coverage. Plain and simple have a certain beauty as well. But it is a duller subject.
Now a lighthouse (and especially this one, which is also a B&B) attracts more attention of course.
Below are a few more close-ups and another smaller lighthouse, which is very close by but in the sea.
All nice, but the 3rd image is gorgeous. I adore the composition and perspective... I think the horizon is just a wee bit crooked.
Yes just a fraction off level. From that angle you can really see the cliff height.
Very good composition with #1. Everything comes together nicely to produce a well balanced scene. And good exposure as well.
