Thanks, Steve. Whatever progress I have made, I can blame on you.

    WOW, I like it.

    Thank you Mike.

    These shots are an inspiration.

    So much to aim for.

I have send links of your orchid shots to a friends wife who is starting out,
she likes flowers in macro, I am sure she will love these.

For me today it is back to the Motor Racing in an attempt to get the "perfect shot".
I am a petrol head, and combining it with photography is fun.

I haven't even got my first 10,000 "worst shots" yet.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about! Excellent work. I'm glad my suggestions were helpful. The black at the bottom does it for me, and it's nice to see those spots fixed. I am one of those 'green thumb' people and I grow miniature orchids and what not, so I guess that's how I noticed that detail

Edit: Referring, of course, to the reposted vertical version on page 1 (When I posted this reply I didn't notice there was already a 2nd page of comments with another photo :P )

Perhaps not half as glad as I am.

You are right. I somehow missed that discussion. The difference in those photos really showed the importance of anchoring. So now I'll say I like you last version best - the one anchored by the stem. This way I get to see all the flowers.
