Interesting image. Interesting angles.
I like the perspective which has all the interesting stuff in the bottom half and then the low tone fluffy sky that balances it up nicely.
IMO, the best use of a w.a. lens is when, like in this image, you have a significantly interesting subject(s) in the foreground..
However, when I view an image with a bright sky as a major portion of the image, I often like a slight vignette of the image to basically separate the sky from the surrounding area...
I like it Miguel - Richard has already explained why
However, the 50% sky again distracts me, perhaps because I'm more interested in railways than clouds
I can understand why you need to shoot with 50% - to keep the camera level and avoid all sorts of problems, I just think I'd do a post shoot crop.
However, as I may have mentioned in your other thread; I still haven't yet shot with such a wide angle lens myself, so maybe when I do, I'll realise why
Cheers,
Nice shot Miguel.
Well done.
Cheers John
Miguel: I agree about the sky a little to much of it. Using the slider at the side of the page I moved it to see what a crop off the top would look like and IMO if you brought it down until the highest telephone line was right in the Upper Left Hand Corner I believe that it would work adding another line for the eye to follow into the centre of the image. Love the image works so well in B&W.
Cheers:
Allan
