Went to Norway yesterday with work. I took a couple of landscape shots out of the window of the Hercules we were flying in, but also took one of my mate trying to get some good shots himself. I thought it worked ok but your C&C is appreciated.

I really like the shot! You nailed the shadows without sacrificingthe highlights around his face. My only thought is to perhaps crop/clone out the area of brightness to the rear of the parka hood...
The clothing reminded of just how darned uncomfortable the Herc was to fly in...
As an aside... It's not a great idea to use the aircraft as a brace to stabilize the shot as he seems to be doing. You can pick up the aircraft's vibrations.

Cheers guys. Richard, it was a surprisingly stable aircraft to fly on and he's a much better photographer than I am so I'm sure his shots will come out fine
