Re: Oil drops (you have to see it)
Hi Jerry, these are interesting and almost look 'computer generated'. Not sure what the banding is on No 2 and 3, possibly reflections ?
I suspect you have not undertaken any post processing on these at all but as a quick trial I did a levels and slight sharpen on No 1 and it really makes it 'pop'.
Great macro examples of what can be lurking in the sink, well done !!

Re: Oil drops (you have to see it)
These photos are not computer generated, there are simply oil bubbles in the water with colourfull background at the bottom.
I did minor colour correction and contrast. if you interested I can share all details with you.

Cool shots Jerry! You wife/partner is now busy looking for other chores that might offer unique photo opportunities. I'm thinking that you might be hearing a lot more along the lines of "Honey, did you see that unique pattern that the tea leaves makes on the bottom of the rubbish can and do check out the lighting on those cobwebs in the corner?"

ShaneS, yes I have a partner (my wife) her name is Dorothy, and you are really funny, I heared these comments "can you take a shot what is at the bottom this dish?" Well, I like it anyway.

O-bother I will have to have a go it this even if it means doing the dish's. Any old olive oil?or do I need to use the stuff locked in the cupboard that I am not allowed to touch?
Very interesting photographs.

Wow! and I have dishes to do this morning, they say the kitchen sink is one of the dirtiest places in your home. Maybe I can get a shot of the little beasties playing about.

Absolutely gorgeous abstracts! If you like the softer, less contrasty colors of these photos, ignore the urge to increase the pop. Not all photography has to pop.
