I am very pleased to have joined this forum.I believe it will give me a great opportunity to interact with fellow photography hobbyists.
I have been shooting since 2006. My gear consists of Nikon D90, Nikon AF-S Nikkor DX 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens, Nikon AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G DX Lens and a Nikon SB- 600 flash. I use Lightroom 4 for post processing.
I plan on posting some of my pictures for members of this forum to review and critique.

This is a great place to learn, the tutorials are very good and any questions not answered there can be posted in the forum, where the members will quickly give you feedback.

Hello, I am happy and nervous to join a photography site. I consider myself amateur photographer. I purchased my first Canon camera for my Anniversary, a gift from my Husband which he didn't know until I thanked Him My interest started with photography when I started hiking. I wanted to share, capture the beauty from what I had seen because it captivated my interest. I like to take photos of nature and wildlife. I would love to learn more about the art of photography from others who share the passion by their work, feedback, comments.

No need to be nervous here. I joined CiC myself only a few months ago, and you couldn't find a more welcoming and supportive forum.

I had a tripod for my anniversary present in January, though at least my wife did know what I was up to .

I look forward to seeing some of your work. If Mr. Google is telling me correctly, St Paul Island is in Alaska - must present some photography challenges at this time of the year, but maybe some interesting light, too?

Thanks David. Yes. St. Paul Island, Alaska.challenging weather for sure. The Island does get wind on a normal basis, right now it is 19 degrees, but with the wind it brings it down to -1. Interesting light yes. As I had mentioned. I just (or feel) that I just started sharing some of my pictures. I have some interesting pictures of the Deadliest catch boats that actually have the hardest time breaking through the ice pack that normally surrounds out Island. Talk about challenges. Want to get out on hikes this weekend. Hardest part is dealing with the 45mph winds. Yet. I have to say. It sure is beautiful regardless. I am still learning how to post some pictures.

welcome hemant to the cambridge forum.recently i also joined this forum.its my pleasure to interact with u guys.llike u.... nice for ur information i also fond of photography. since chilhood i like to taking snaps and capture evry moment f life nd also i also do videography.thts suits my profession,,i will see ur snaps .after posting pics. i wll post my picss soon,,,
