    Warm wishes from Canada

Hi My name is Joe I live in a small mining town in Northern Ontario (350 km North of Toronto). My first Camera was an old Nikon F, I now use a Nikon P510. My leg my leg was amputated as a rusult of complications do to Cancer so I had to give up takeing photos for 15 years until I got a artifical leg. I no longer can haul along 2 or 3 lenses and a tripod, so the my new camera is a Nikopn P510 this has worked out great and I am back into taking photos. I mostly like shooting industrial buildings and equipment, but right now I am really into trees for some reason. I like to shoot mostly in B&W but I am trying colour for the trees. I hope to learn more about Digital processing and any photo tips I can find. You can always lean something new. See you in the posts.

Hi Joe, it sounds like you almost live further away from civilization than I do. Look forward to seeing some of your photographs - industrial buildings and equipment will add some variety.

The tree aspect sounds intriguing to me. The water, rock and gnarled trees of the Canadian Shield of the world should make for some inspiring images. Heaven knows Tom Thompson of the Group of Seven artists certainly did well out it.
