Thought I'd share an edit that Steve (Steve S) has just PM'd me...

Hope you don't mind the edit, but a few minor changes which i think make a big impact.

I darkened the background a little............lightened the fox a little........added some saturation with LAB ............sharpened a little more.

I like it. I think it makes the animal stand out a bit more and makes him look more impressive overall.

I do, indeed, love foxes. This is a beautiful shot of a really nice looking one. It's so nice to get a shot in the snow. Love the look in his eye!
