Re: Hummingbird
Roger,
I liked the pictures you took of the hummingbird. I do not know which is my favorite. The photos are of the same bird? I had never seen a hummingbird unkempt (photo # 3). In photo # 4, what is the material on the hummingbird? Pollen?
Cheers,
Antonio.

Re: Hummingbird
Thanks James, and yes Antonio all are of the same bird and in #3 the bird was scratching himself and had ruffled his feathers and I took the shot, a second later he looked normal. The color in #4 is from iridescent feathers it is explained in this link http://hummingbirdworld.com/h/iridescent.htm

Re: Hummingbird
Lovely pictures Roger,
I agree with Joe; #2 is best because it shows the bird feeding in its habitat.
I would, if mine, consider a crop that removes the lower horizontal twig and the little bits and pieces peeking into frame on the right - and if not cropping - cloning them out is another option - or a combination of both.
I also like #1, although it feels a little dark, perhaps if the sky were toned more like #3 or #4?
A fortunate 'spot', well executed in capture.
Cheers,

Re: Hummingbird
I like #2 and #4 best. Good, sharp focus on all of them. These are not easy to capture. Good job.

Thanks everyone and Dave you're great you don't miss a thing I re-cropped and yes it's better I think I could of cloned but I tried cropping and liked it. Here's the crop version.
