Colour or mono
Would value your opinion of these two versions of the same shot. Taken with a view to producing both colour and mono but not sure which, if either, works best.

Re: Colour or mono
I like color more; B&W has its charm though; i would like to clone out what is seen on the top right corner

Re: Colour or mono
I feel the black and white, there is more texture to the petals and hence a more intriguing image. The colour just has too many light areas and the texture is lost. Agree with Nandakumar on the crop.

Re: Colour or mono
Actually the texture of the B&W is great, but on the other hand it's sad to waste the wonderful petals colors. It could be worth trying to burn the B&W over the color image to extract more texture.

Re: Colour or mono
BW form has a lot more of an art quality to it. Color picture is "just" a picture.
