Re: Adobe architecture (not Adobe software)
I like both images Mike, but the perspective, mood , and a shot of the moon in #3 really work for me. Well envisioned capture.
I can't see #1 for some reason.
Edit: Aahh, there it is.

2 and 3 do it for me, Mike. I really like the way you utilized the contrast to maximum appropriate potential in all 3 shots.

Re: Adobe architecture (not Adobe software)
Thanks, guys!
I noticed after posting #3 that there isn't enough separation between the bottom of the horizontal piece of the cross and the sky. I'll have to fix that.

From glass to clay bricks. Cool.
Other way actually - clay to glass.
Has to be some connection there.

Re: Adobe architecture (not Adobe software)
I especially love the last shot which reminds me of Georgia O'Keeffe's imagery. One tiny picky point. My eye keeps being drawn to the portion of the pottery (?) in the lower left of the opening...

Excellent point, Richard! Thanks! That's actually a piece of wood that I'll take care of.

Re: Adobe architecture (not Adobe software)
Great tones, texture and modelling in all photographs. I like #3 the most, not particularly because of the symbolism but more the simplicity (after the wood chopping). If it was mine I would probably cheat and make the moon a bit larger.
They all look as if it would be nice to pat the adobe material. Note I said pat not stroke, the texture looks as if stroking it would be a little hard on the hands.

Such nice compliments, L. Paul! Especially the stuff about patting the adobe material. Thank you!

Re: Adobe architecture (not Adobe software)
Thanks, Jon! The version below fixes the two issues discussed earlier in the thread plus a third issue I discovered while fixing them.
By the way, this black-and-white version is far better in my mind than the original color version.
Photo #4: Improved version of Photo #3
