    Going for the ball.

I went to see my competitive soccer team play today on the indoor field. Im out injured right now (my knee) so I decided to take my new camara and get some pics. My team is the pink but in some shots you will see the green too. I hope to be back playing soon because I have been out for 6 months now. Let me know how they look and any feed back is much apreciated (good and bad ). Thanks so much!

Good action, but ideally, I would have liked to see the whole of the green player's leg and less foreground.

Nice capture but, I agree with Geoff regarding the green players leg. Did you shoot this in burst or single shot mode?

Used my new cannon 40d with a 70-200 f2.8 lens. It was continous shooting and this was the best on. My team went on to score a goal from this so their defense is a little out. Does it look sharp or pixelated?

When viewed at 100%, it does look quite pixelated - I suspect you shot jpg (possibly a lower quality?) and over-edited the file - perhaps it was under-exposed?

I can't see any EXIF data, how was it captured?

Could you do me a favour please?
Could you Edit your Profile and put your first name in the Real Name field and where you are (roughly) in the Location field? - thanks.

Hi Sam - I agree with Dave, the image is really quite pixellated, i.e. what you have posted looks highly overcompressed and you've lost lots of image detail. It makes it difficult to see if your shot is sharp or not. The image looks bit underexposed. Compositionally, you should have included the green player's hand and foot, and allowed for a tiny bit more head space at the top and cropped the bottom 20% of the image; too much of the grass in the image
