I dont have access to your EXIF data which would be helpful.
From the rather consderable DoF, it looks like you either need to get a lot closer if possible, and to use a much bigger aperture. Sports shots rarely have anything in the background that is interesting or that you want to compete with your object.
The exposure looks to me a tad under, and the skin tones are a little dingy, which frequently results with too much on the clarity slider. Fill the frame, and keep on practicing. This is not easy stuff

As Kevin mentioned, this sort of photography which includes fast action which is often with poor lighting is never easy.
So full shooting information, including camera mode and any other information would be helpful. How are you editing?
The basic composition is good.
