Re: Ft Wayne Fringe
Very courageous of them to do that indoors. I witnessed a show last fall that was done on the grass and there were a few close calls. Nice image, hard to get a good image of the performers but then it's the flames that are the star of the show.

Re: Ft Wayne Fringe
Thanks for the comments John. This group was very cautious and an absolute blast to watch. It would have been easier to capture the performers with a second curtain flash, but sadly, no flash allowed. So I had to make do with what I had. It was a very fun filled morning.
The inside of this building is mostly brick, steel and concrete. They would have had to try VERY hard to catch it on fire

Re: Ft Wayne Fringe
Hi Jon,
Not sure I can help much as I've not tried photographing this myself.
From looking at the images and EXIF data, I'd suggest a bit less exposure (narrower aperture and/or lower iso (if latter possible)
It looks like there was other projection lighting in action, no doubt to add to the 'spectacle' for the audience, but this hasn't helped you images. e.g. the green in the 2nd of the second post.
I'm not sure if the blue in the first image of the second post is flare or not?
BTW: It helps us all if you number the images!

Re: Ft Wayne Fringe
Dave, thanks for the comments. Regarding the exposure, I agree with you. If somebody wouldn't have been opening the side door and letting all that darn sunlight in I think I would have been closer to the mark
Yes, they had some funky green and blue lighting effects which I could have done with-out
The blue in the first image of the second post is actually a lighted rope that the lady in front was twirling around, two-toned blue on one end and green & pink on the other.
Sorry I forgot to number, it was late and I was tired
