    Illawarra Sunset - Into Sun

    Hi,
I decided to revisit my Illawarra Sunset and scan the slide taken directly into the sun. It doesn't have the big red flare spot I had in my earlier image, but I am not so happy with the image. However this is film and I thought it worthwhile posting it for interest.

Fuji Velvia ISO 50. It is a very contrasty and saturated slide film with very fine grain. Photographed with 503CW and Distagon 40 FLE at f11. The lens is 24 years old and the camera about 10 years old. The film was scanned with an Epson v700 flat bed scanner and processsed with Silverfast 8 software. This represents a reduction in size of about 7 times.

Given the extreme light conditions and I think the film and camera stands up rather well.

That is a different kind of treatment; Sun's aura forming an umbrella over the city; very lovely blue sky; the calmness as and freshness of a morning is really felt

    congrats
