I don't know what the deer is thinking but, I get a wonderful feeling of tranquility from this image. I can just about "hear the silence".
Steve, perhaps because I never have this sort of weather in front of my door, It looks a strong image to me. It does convey tranquility (and cold!). Very nice shot!
PS.: I also can not guess what Bambi is thinking...
I'm trying to imagine what the deer is thinking of you.
This photo is so much more than another nice image of a deer in the snow; it's in the league of Currier & Ives. Notice the two large trees on each side acting as frames for the scene. The deer is perfectly positioned, as it is about to walk into the frame made by those pairs of trees. All of the trees directly behind the deer are so distant that they make a wonderful background rather than a distraction. The snow is clinging to the trees enough to be pretty but not so much that all of the wood and bark are covered up. The light is deliciously soft.
Make it a holiday card!
And when you can time a snowflake, for a catchlight,...................................just sayin
Thanks guy's, appreciate the comments and feedback!!!!!!!
I had to look it up.it's in the league of Currier & Ives.
Wow mike, that is a compliment and a half...............................thank you very much.
Great image. I agree about the framing by the trees and love the way the deer is off center.
