Helpful Posts: I found a few flowers in a pot outside. Being the first ones I've seen this year I decided to put the pot on a table, haul out the tripod and see if I could get a few shots. I've cleaned up "the scene", checked the background is pleasing, worked at an angle to keep the pot out of the picture. Now my eye is to the viewfinder and I'm about to fire off a test shot when suddenly the frame is filled with eyes and fur.
It's a good thing my tripod is sturdy because otherwise I'd probably knocked the whole thing over!
No C&C necessary. Posting just for fun.

Terri, the first one is actually a pretty cool shot - I like it! The cat looks as if he/she is about to pounce on your unsuspecting flowers...

These are fantastic shots, especially the first with focus on flowers. No background can be as pleasing as this feline!!!

The first works best for me, with a sharply focused foreground and that cat trying to 'hide' behind the pansy flowers.

I think these are way cool! I have a number of shots I've tried to take, only to have my cat intrude, but it's usually the back of her head or worse in the picture.

Terri, #1 is such a cool picture. When I first saw it and the cat rising up it reminded me of the movie Finding Nemo and the sharks, "fish are friends, not food" but then I noticed that if you look at the flowers the purple makes up little laughing faces like they are in on some joke. However if you keep looking and make the white part the outside of the face it looks very similar to a distorted cat face sort of like Hello Kitty.
