my new flashes and DIY snoot
Hi all, how are we? Good i hope, well, my flashes arrived last week, but due to two jobs running me mad i couldnt play with them till tonight, even though im tired as anything i decided to have a little play time. I did these photos of myself in my room, the Yn-460(one of them anyways) was on a light stand, angled 91 degrees to the right and about 3-4 degrees angled to me. Attached was a diy snoot i made from a mouse pad, self adhesive velcro and some super glue to reinforce the velcro. The camera was set to:
F-8, 1/160, ISO 100, 34mm
im unsure which one ilike more, i know i should crop, but i kinda like them as is, for now till i get nick picky. Anyways what do you think?

Re: my new flashes and DIY snoot
Allen, How to pick a favorite???? Hmmm...I prefer the B&W shots and I am leaning towards the last one. IMHO I would prefer more space at the top and not the bottom, but that is just me.
Nicely done.
Cheers

All are very good, the first has the most light in the eyes, second photo has a bit of reflected light, the others are like looking into an abyss.

I suppose you could try a slight crop from the bottom and right side; but not too much.
