Re: What are you looking at?
James, if you see them feeding in an area and make your way slowly, even though you will spook them out.....they will return as long as you don't pay them to much attention. Paying attention elsewhere lets them no you are not after them. I shot that at 210mm and should have used a little more DOF.

Re: What are you looking at?
But, but, but.... those are MY feet, I see them everyday I have been alive. So ---- nothing special as far as I am concerned.
But then you caught me in a good mood and that pic you took is very very nice. Thanks Paul.
Next time I will let you lie down in front of me for a portrait shot.

Re: What are you looking at?
I like the concept and think you should continue working it. I disagree that you should have used more depth of field; I like that the current depth of field so nicely separates the two feet.
This would have worked better for me if the front foot had been in the bright light rather than the shade.

Re: What are you looking at?
I like this shot. It teaches me to think more about unusual perspectives when taking my own wildlife shots. Thanks!

Re: What are you looking at?
Very menacing looking bird, I would have been backing away at that point, that is if it even saw you.
