Hi everyone,
I last posted when I was in Barcelona, Spain and was asking you guys about taking photos at the Bocuse d'Or. I said then that I was going to take photos at the La Boqueria market, however I was robbed there and my whole camera bag was stolen from under my nose even though I was with colleagues. We were distracted by someone who wanted to know the time and my camera bag containing my 5D lll, 24-70mm f2.8L USM lens, ST-E2 Speedlite transmitter, 580EX ll Speedlite and several 16GB CF Cards. Replacing them burned a hole in my pocket already lightened by the cost of the trip to Lyon. That is the main reason why I've not been here in a while.
I was given a VIP pass to Bocuse d'Or which allowed me to get up to the booths to be able to take close up shots of Team Singapore preparing their dishes for the challenge. Most of the shots were more like "action" shots whilst they were working. The standards were exceedingly high and the tension levels so thick you could've cut it with a knife.
Look who came for a visit ........ Chef Thomas Keller, President of the Chefs Association of the USA.
