We now have somewhere with a much quicker turnaround where mere-mortals (as opposed to "super-Colin") stand a chance...
I think these have been started while you've been away, but have a look in this forum at the Mini Competitions.
With those, we just collect ten pictures and vote, and almost instantly, another one is started - have a look at a couple of recent ones for the idea (and by all means vote).

Oh my goodness!! I'm amazed & absolutely delighted, thanks so much to everyone who voted for my photograph. I've been away (work... grrrrr) for a few days and missed all the fun.
