The Binn, once a volcano, all of 600 ft above sea level. On top what you see is the television mast! The town is Burntisland, population 6000, and it's in the Kingdom of Fife, Scotland, with Edinburgh just on the other side of the Firth of Forth to the south, behind me when I took the photo. The Erskine Church is on the right, with the golf course out of sight to the right while the town centre is out of sight on the left. It's a nice walk!

My daughter and her family lived in Charlbury for a year in 2001 and we visited so your photo brought back memories of a lovely visit in the May sunshine. One of my granddaughters was the May Queen that year. A narrow main street though.

Absolutely excellent, thanks to everyone who has posted. It just shows the diverse areas we all live in and I guess they no doubt influence how we see the rest of the world through our cameras.

I'm a little envious of Jeff with such beautiful sunsets in Honolulu. John from Wigan, I wonder if you're familiar with your local 'Wigan 10' photographic club. They are world class competitors and winners in Photography. Way out of my league

Please, keep these local landmarks coming in; it's great to see a window on your world. And after the winter we've been having here in old blighty it's good to see the sun is shining elsewhere on the planet.

    Little Moreton Hall, Cheshire

Little Morton Hall, near Congleton in Cheshire. Built at the very beginning of the 16th century, then, as extra stories were added, it started so sag rather. It still has its moat to deter raiders! Now a national trust property, so open to visitors.

Yes, I have heard of the Wigan 10 club and as you say they really are the cream on top of the milk. They have reached heights that I can only dream of.
