Helpful Posts: I'm not sure if this has been done already, I don't see it on the forum. I thought it would be great if members posted a single image they have taken of, preferably their home town rather than their country. It could be like mine, looking down on the town from a high vantage point, or it could be the town centre, maybe a monument in their town. You get the idea.
This is the small town of Accrington, Lancashire, England where I live. I took this photo from up on the Coppice area that looks down on the town.

Can you spot the Sleeping Giant? He is a native lying down with his arms folded on his chest. The left side of the boat buts up to about his shin area. He is a local landmark but was not really the subject of this photo. (The boat was the subject) I thout about cloning out the wires, but they were in the upper third and kinda illustrates how industry, in general, is disturbing his slumber. C & C welcome

Like Shane, I live on the Island of Oahu where the most notable landmark is Diamond Head Crater. This is the view from my home in Waikiki early one morning just before Christmas.

There are more than one landmarks in Izmir. Maybe the most well known among them is the clock tower, built in 1901. The included palm tree is also considered a landmark of Izmir.
And one from the town I live in (Karsiyaka / "the other side"). Monument of human rights (a bit ironic with the current government anyway
) built in 1992 and it is better known by the name Monument of Olof Palme.
