Good day Bruce,
I usually like this type of processing, and no exception here. Nice image. Very clean, nice background oof.
I would lighten around the eyes. Nice pose, good lighting (reverse engineering suggests a cloudy day), nice soft shadows. Just a touch around the eyes though (a little dodging) would make the eye contact way stronger and so hold the interest longer.

Hi Bruce,
I like the light on the subject. I would play with the light on the eyes as Graham suggests, though I suspect too much will lose the gritty feel of the subject. The background isn't working for me - just too busy. You might try adding some blur there, though this is a purely subjective observation on my part. Overall good image, thanks for sharing.

Eyes - suggestion.
To me it opens his face a bit more and makes him more accessible to viewing.
