The odd couple
My dad has been back in hospital this week with heart failure.
I relieved some stress by people watching...hospitals have strange effects on people. This couple couldn't have been more different with the lady in her amazing scarlet coat and fur hat and the gentleman with his torn anorak and hunched back.
A dropped and kindly retrieved walking stick saw them become fast friends and they made a charming sight.

Not just a charming site. Also a charming image. I like the mood very much.
So sorry to learn about your father's illness.

That is brilliant. Not only have you captured 'the moment' (the composition of the man and the woman in terms of their respective positions is wonderful), but the inspiration to blur everything, except them, puts them in a world that is just theirs .. at that moment. The rest of that world can be fast moving and confusing. But for now, they are in a bubble. Their moment of acknowledging each other.
I love it.
And it mirrors what you and others feel at times when hospitals become a part of our life. The bubble becomes smaller and our focus is on a much narrower spectrum of things

Beautiful, Sharon. I never considered how a couple of faceless people could be so compelling. I would love to spend some time seeing what you see.
Sorry to hear about your dad. Sending healing thoughts your way.

Re: The odd couple
What Donald said goes double for me. What a great shot!
I must admit, though, sometimes I feel as frail and unsteady as they look.
