The expressions are good.

Could you get away with cropping a little closer by using a different size ratio; maybe 5 x 4 ratio? Or would that seem too tight?

Main point for me is that the entire image appears out of focus? Was this intended unless, my eyes are playing tricks. I mean, I do have a head ache at this precise moment.

Nigel, thanks for viewing.Actually several pp trics were done on this image to give a feel of dream like qualities. Original photo was tack sharp. Subjects view towards out of the frame is intended to make the viewer curious! I think you have got your answer. I donot know whether overal feel of the image is good or not? There lies the importance of your opinion.
