    Abra Station

    These abra (water taxi) stations are dotted along either side of the Dubai Creek. In the morning and evening they are full of customers waiting to cross the creek for work, and tourists use this as a cheap way of seeing the skyline from the water. A single trip costs 1 Dirham (3.67 Dirhams per US Dollar) or you can hire an abra for an hour for 100 Dirhams for a personal tour.

    Lunchtime = deserted!

    D700 + 2/35 Distagon wide open at f2, ISO100, 1/6400th (it was quite bright!)

    Terrific exposure and highlight control and preservation of shadow detail. Did you use multiple exposures or fill flash?

    As a country boy, I know creeks- that ain't one. How did they come up with that name?

    Don't think you'd ever get natural light up here that would allow you to get anywhere near 1/6400th with ISO at 100.
