    Also be sure to bring enough memory cards (or a laptop to offload them as you go). I find they are horribly expensive in the UK.

    Having just returned from Australia (where 240V and an odd ball plug configuration are considered "normal") all you need is a suitable plug adapter (to convert our two bladed plug to the UK standard). No voltage converter will be needed.

    Another non-charger comment... If you're driving to Dorset and if you have any affection for Jane Austen's novels, know that you'll likely be passing not far from the village of Chawton where you can visit the house in which she lived with her mother and sisters. This year is the 200th anniversary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice - a big year for Janeites!

    Just above swanage you can visit the world. and the jurassic coast is well worth walking.
