Re: Need a PUSH
You've all be so helpful with your considerations.
Every single one of you has put yourself out there, right along with me, and shown me your personal take on it. Even though some changes are not ones I'd make for this shot (and some are) I've learned something new with each change, that I can even apply later to a photo I feel needs it (i.e. one where I didnt want a yellow cast, or did want a MORE shallow DoF).
It gave me another push to keep checking my backgrounds again so people dont have weird things poking out of heads etc! hehehe
Sometimes we get a little comfortable.
Nimitzbenedicto,
On a personal note, I was having an extremely bad day today for personal reasons. Your response REALLY impacted on the remainder of today for me. My husband read it and said "Read that every day, once a day until you believe you deserve to feel that way".
Thank you kindly - Thank you so much.

Re: Need a PUSH
Samantha, the MAIN THING IS, you have an incredibly original 'eye'. I wouldn't trade your shots for those of, say, Jeff Ascough, recently recommended to me as an example of the best wedding photographers. I (just a lousy snapshotter who doesn't know nothing from nothing) like yours. If I put a 'smiley' against my remark about the 'vertical marker behind the groom's head' it's because it was a joke. It wasn't weird, it was just a vague 'thing' that looked as though it should have been vertical and was about 0.00000000001" off vertical.
In August I am to do the photos for one of my son's wedding, and I will more than happily take inspiration from yours.
More Power ! Chris.
