Hi, my name is Manav and I found out about this website through a friend. Photography was just a hobby and before I realized it, I was already hooked on to it. I found the tutorials pretty interesting. I love the passion floating around on this website. I want to learn more and that's why I decided to sign up for this. Glad to be here!

Here's my first picture. I am quite inclined toward object photography. Please feel free to post your thoughts on this.. Your comments will be very helpful!!

Hello and welcome to CiC, good to have you on board.

To comment usefully on a photograph, it is very helpful to know what the photographer is trying to achieve. It looks as if you were intending to have sharp features, with t he rest out of focus. I don't think it quite works: the eyes are sharp but the chin is soft. I think it would be quite difficult to get that exactly right out of camera, especially when shooting from below.

The best way to get feedback is to post your pictures in either the Nature and Architecture, or the People and Pets forum, and ask for what feedback you want.

It would be good if you edited your profile so that we can see your real name, and whereabouts in the world you are.
