I am wondering about a slight crop but suspect that going to 5 x 4 ratio would make everything appear somewhat 'cramped'.
Maybe going square and losing a fraction from the bottom; but I'm not sure.
And would this scene take a tiny bit more brightness in the highlights, particularly on the ground.
It looks good at the moment so I wouldn't change very much; if anything.
As usual Sharon your picture makes me wonder, look, look closer, back up a bit, enlarge the pic, make it smaller, get lost in it...Humm. The woods sure look forboding/dark. The tree look welcoming, safe. Ok how do you do that to me hum?
To keep the relation tree to forest and back, I would square the picture to remove some of the forground. But that's just me.
Am I the only one who can hear the howling of the wolfs?
Very nice. I would even flipped this image and combine as one. Who said symmetry is boring!
There is a magical depth in your image Sharon I love. Bravo!
Very well done, Sharon. I would leave it as is. There was a reason you included the foreground and for me it helps draw the eye in from the bottom. The subtle curvature and darker lines would be missed. Fantastic flow and no need to stop or disrupt it. I am hearing the wolves as well!
Nice. I too would leave as-is.
Thank you everyone, am glad you all seemed to find something in this.
Sharon this is a great image - wouldn't change anything - (except adding the Wolf!) was this in shot B &W or conversion? Well done
It was a conversion Harry but I planned it would be before I took the shot.
Mark, you are very kind. ( that goes for both of you! )
Doubleplusgood (George Orwell, '1984').
It's all about realising a vision, isn't it.
Sharon... I am struck by your image - I'm betting you are drawn to Impressionism.
Very nice.
Thank you Susan,
Sharon, I like how you developed this photograph. Your work often triggers something in my imagination and this picture definitely accomplishes that.
