Had a bit of snow over the past day or two, so I thought that I would go out and get some shots. I do love this tree, the shape, the setting being out in the middle of a field, the wall of trees in the distance, great location to catch the morning sun, and best of all I can drive there in under three minutes. Still a light snow falling, and a bit of fog as the temperature is about 1C (33.5F) so makes for nice soft lighting.

That's a beauty, allan. I think you picked a perfect day to isolate it.
If mine, i would clone out the shadow on the right, and add just a touch more contrast to the tree (just the tree), to make it pop a bit more from the background.

Allan, love your photograph. Here's my two cents on what I would modify: eliminate just a drop of the empty space on the left side (this moves the tree more strongly to the left side of the photograph and allows the trees rightward slope to have a bit more of a dramatic effect), darken or add a bit of contrast to the tree, and very slightly darken the tree's shadow. However, this all personal taste.
