Giant Lotus Lilly

Here's one from the weekend, a lilly shot with the 100mm macro, 800 ISO, 1/400, F:8. It was a bit wind and a tripod was not an option so hand held while holding the lilly stem with the left hand had to do. C&C welcome.

Gorgeous colors and nicely composed, with a very complementary background. But the wind appears to have won the battle-it's just a little too soft, at least on this very mediocre screen that I'm using at work.

It is almost impossible to give objective C&C with an image like this. The quality has deteriorated to the extent that the image is not very clear. Maybe you scaled it down just a bit to much. The original can be very sharp whilst what I see on my screen is a very low res image.

Cropping even closer and reducing that empty gray space on the right hand side might work a bit beter.

Getting a good makro shot on a windy day is not easy. I have tried it and the success rate is pretty low – on a windy day.
Why not try it again and post an image with a bit higher resolution.

I just knew it, with a 100mm macro lens it should be sharp.
