A couple Cheetah shots from my local Zoo. Now that the weather is warming up, perhaps they will finally get the lure out and I may get some running shots. Since I'm not getting to Africa anytime soon, this will have to do ...
All the same male, Shanto.
*edit* Just to mix it up I thought I would also annotate my PP.
My current Facebook banner ...
Shot was in the evening, thus the warm color. Shot was croped to 4x3 and canvas was extended to the 851px x 315px facebook banner size. I then used content aware fill to extend the negative space to the left. Next I duplicated the layer and set the blending mode to multiply (this burns/darkens the colors accentuating the warm colors), then I added a mask and revealed the Cheetah. The intent was to draw the eye to the cheetah by making him the brightest part. I finished with a high-pass sharping on just the Cheetah.
Shot was on a cloudy day around noon, thus the cooler colors. Similiar treatment as the first. Duplicate the layer and blend mode to multiply burns/darkens the colors. I then added a mask and revealed the Cheetah. Next I used content aware fill to remove some bright holes in the vegetation in the back. Finished with high pass sharpening of the cheetah
Not much treatment here. A little burning to lower the foreground, then unsharp mask for some quick sharpening.
