    Mile, these two photographs have an x-ray quality -- black background and the lighting on the bottles. I would keep experimenting with these bottles against the black background. I think more can be done with them. In the second photo I like the balance between the white and the purple.

    Thanks, Steven! It's easy to find inexpensive clear glass at second-hand stores and the like, but finding clear wine bottles can be a challenge.

    As every one says, very nice shots and I also prefer the first.

    Re closures. Having just come back from a trip to the US, I noticed that the self same bottle of US wine that I can buy at home with a screw cap, retails with a cork closure over there!

    Very nice, as always love your photos of glass things.. I prefer #1 but I'm not sure why.
