    Mike, the beautiful purple shapes are eggplants. They are in a bed of basil (left) and dill (right). To a cook like me, quite lovely. The only thing I find distracting is the container upper left.

    I would never have known those are eggplants. In the U.S., the eggplants in the supermarkets are a deep purple, almost black.

    Like Marie, I found the bright area in the top left a little distracting. Otherwise an excellent composition.
