Got to use the new M yesterday, one available at the local Leica store (not for sale) Very happy with results. Image made with 35 Summilux wide open.

Hi Donald ISO is the biggest improvement, very clean. The back of the display has changed and looks better, software a bit different and even more user friendly. Having the EVF for wide or long lenses a big plus but still feel its faster focusing with the rangefinder.

Files have a different look, have read Leica optimizes the sensor to make it look like slide film. The do block the shadows and blow highlights ..... same as slide film. Interesting and all compromises. Looking forward to its arrival, was told could be a year? .. hope not. Mean time will continue with the M9P which is mighty fine !!
