If you haven't seen me referring to it elsewhere, there are the NIK tutorials on their own site (as opposed ot YouTube). Many are, of course, the same, but there are others that I haven't found via YouTube. You can also hook in to the Live webinars (although given that many are scheduled according to Pacific Time, they can be at difficult hours of the day for us. But I have enjoyed taking part in a couple of them.

Andrew - Yep, I'm up and running, although Viveza has not installed properly and I'm working on that. But see posts 38 and 39 in this thread.

Thanks Donald. I've got them all book marked now.

From another forum: Looks like you can use a coupon code, BEDGE or DZISER for example, for an additional 15% off.

I used BEDGE, and my price went down to $126.65 CAD.

Thanks for the code. BEDGE (caps) worked for me but DSIZER wasn't accepted, strange. Even better value therefore. Thought I would have to wait another 3 paycheks to afford this product. Lets hope the naysayers are wrong and that Google does keep up the development. FTR I am not a Google fan, or of any other monopolist, but this is too good to let go. Free lunch anyone

Slowly working my way through some of the videos. Now up to Silver Efex (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5wva...tLc7jPs8yPejUI) and they are talking so much about creating s-curves, drawing attention to this point or away from that point.
There is so much to consider when creating an image. I have to take some breaks and absorb - almost enough to make me take up drinking .
I can see how people get carried away on the post processing and spend less time photographing. I still have to find my balance I reckon.
Impressed, not so much with the software (most of this level of software is already impressive) but certainly impressed with the presentation of the artistry in using it rather than a factual this tool does that, that tool does, this. The video touches on the why's of doing something as well as the how. Good stuff. Back to school.

I agree, Graham. I think it's important to apply that old 'rule' of taking things one step at a time. I still go back over the tutorials. For example, one SEP2 video I went back over and over is the one (and I can't remember exactly which one it is without going in to look), that illustrates how to use Fine Structure in conjunction with Structure. I can never seem to get the interplay between the two embedded into my tiny brain.
