This is a redo of an image I posted a couple of years ago which I reprocessed using NIK SEP2. I enjoy shooting reenactmentors and wanted to establish a workflow which gave an old-time look to the images.





I can't get over how easy it is to work with NIK Silver Effects Pro...

Very successful - nice to examine. I was trying to generate discussion on when sepia works best, (and why), on another thread. This is an example of its application seeming not only "natural", but optimal. As a much less experienced member, I learn here from your nice use of vignetting, also. Thanks.

Actually sepia does give an old-time look but, many people use sepia for Civil War images. This is not really historiclly correct. Sepia did not come into popularity until well after the end of the Civil War.
Here's another try that I did using the NIK Silver Effects Pro

I really like the simplicity of Silver Effects Pro. It takes all of about 30 seconds to convert a standard color digital image to this old-time looking image, including the vignette and border.
