You do fine on that side of the camera. Some people would recommend that you flip the photo horizontally to eliminate the effect of the mirror, but I kind of like it as is.
Try to tone down the bright highlights on your fingers and to create even the smallest amount of separation between your camera and your shirt.
My above comments were about the first version. Now that I see your second version...
Your fingers look much better. Try toning that hand and your fingers just a little more and brightening your face to draw more attention to your face.
In the first one, I sort of liked the bright lights in the background. Not so, in the second one. That crop would look fine in the second one without any bright lights in my mind.
Hi Jon, Like the crop on #2.
Your avatar is cool too
Hans, thank you.
They say, don't ask me who, that the photograph is the only true representation of ourselves, mirror images are inverted. Now that you've flipped the image.......
Jon,
I thought for a minute you had got hold of one of these (link borrowed from Bill's post here)
Cheers,
Dave, even though I do some things left handed (anything that gets thrown comes out of my left hand), I still write and shoot right handed. But a left-handed camera has to be popular with the true lefties.
