FFT Filter for CS6
When I had a much earlier version of Photoshop I had a Fourier transform filter that was able to filter out the effect of half tones (or dots) on newspapers. It is mentioned in Retouchpro discussions and there seems to be a new version there for download. It doesn't work for me, even having followed the instructions to the letter. Does anyone have such a filter or know or an alternative technique?

Re: FFT Filter for CS6
Well the different implementions of Blurs are almost equivallent to a FFT filter (low pass), have you tried all intrinsic filters in CS6? Probably you can get the same results and that's why they removed it.

Re: FFT Filter for CS6
I suggest you try the frequency seperation technique.
I am pretty sure you will get excellent results in a more intuitive and fast way (especially if you record an action).

Re: FFT Filter for CS6
Thanks for the pointer Miltos - I'll check it out. I've tried with some amendments to colour channel specific noise and also to despeckle in noisy channels which helped, but I seem to remember that the filter I used to have was a bit more specific.
EDIT: Checked it out and learned a new technique - thanks ever so much!
