A great study in lines and shapes. The contrast between the very ordered and straight lines of that created by humankind and the 'informality' of the shapes created by nature, is also what strikes you.

One thing though - As the image appeared, my first reaction was that it hadn't open properly and there was a bit at the bottom I wasn't seeing. I'm wondering why you chose to crop it as you did and we don't see more at the bottom?

Hey Donald. I cut the original photo into its present form to emphasize what you got out of it. Including the interior walkway seemed to distract from its message. I wanted to focus the viewers attention on the juxtaposition of the tree (i.e. nature) and the museum's interior/exterior space (i.e. human design). I understand that where I cut makes for an abrupt viewing experience. I'll see if including some of the interior walkway makes the photograph more digestible.

I'm working on a version of this space that includes a lot of the interior walkway. It makes for a different photograph. I'll share it when it's complete.

I love the geometry of this piece, Karm, and the balance of tones. It has a lot of contrasts going on and is fun to explore. I'll be interested in seeing more.

Hi Karm,

I like this, my first thought was I'd like to see a bit lower but accept that if you had that, there might well be something 'down there' to distract, or it becomes a shot of the doors and reflections and not the geometric/abstract it is.
